You got it. Sorry about the delayed post, but the last few days have been about completely rearranging my apartment so that the carpet layers wouldn't destroy anything. I have two words to say to that whole situation: RENTER'S INSURANCE... |

Well, I started burning my CDs.....Eleri and the gang have outdone themselves. It is a fantastic display of all things Uru. It works like a charm...the autoplay....the links navigation is fantastic!! Better than some pros....wherever you want to go......you can practically get there from where you are.....huh? lol.
Anyway, I'll be giving four away at work this week and then on to Midtown Comics to give away a hundred!! I can't wait to see what I can do there. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

All of this FAN MARKETING is FANtastic! Perhaps I'll follow Professor's lead and do the same here at the West End in Dallas... _________________ URU Live KI #: 50911 MOULa KI #11697212

Thanks Prof, and everyone. I'm so very pleased with how they came out
I made the copies I'm going to send to Cyan yesterday, and I got all sniffly about my babies going out into the world
Oh, and the webpage has the updated Links.pdf file _________________

I've just realized that the image is small enough, it might fit on an 8cm (mini) CD. Anyone know if we can get labels for mini-cd's? I'm thinking it might be a bit more of an attention-getter to see them on the smaller, pocketable format. |

Avery makes labels for the Mini cds I think _________________

I'm going to look into that, because I can get mini CD's fairly cheaply at MicroCenter over here, and it would add another bit of difference. Anyone want to redesign one of these labels for that? |

Lemme find the dimensions, and I should be able to whip something out
Sorry, was distracted today by the Toddler of Doom.
I did get the cd webpage all updated though.
Yet another edit: Do you mean the round Mini cd's or the business card ones that are oddly rectangular? _________________

I can answer this one.
Business card CDs only hold 50 MB. They cannot hold the Fan Uru Demo CD.
Mini CDs hold 180 MB, so they can hold the Demo CD comfortably. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Yeah, definitely the mini. Incidentally, I found that the Avery Afterburner labeling system has labels for mini-CD's, and they go all the way to the hole, as opposed to most labels which don't go far inside the data ring. Hmmm... I suppose if I use the Afterburner labels, I could just shrink the existing artwork and it might fit. |

Got a great new idea in. Even though the artwork for the demo CD is gorgeous, much simpler artwork might feed into the drop card idea. I'm specifically thinking about the mini-CDs. Just take the discs, mark them "secret", "personal" or something equally intriguing, and drop them off somewhere. |

OK... I know I've been gone for a bit... but I've had a great deal of success dropping mini-cd's.
Your labels are way cooler then mine tho, Eleri

HEY!!
Who else is in the area of Philadelphia, PA and dropping cards?
I was wandering around the University of Penn Barnes & Noble store, planning on placing a few drop cards here and there, what with the release date bumped up and all, and the last thing I expected actually happened.
I FOUND A DROP CARD!!
Needless to say I didn't take it, nor did I leave one of my own. I know 'marked' terretory when I see it.
But I'd like to know who I sort of "bumped into".
C'mon... fess up.... _________________ KI 182798
