|
|
I don't know what to make of this.......
I was reading the posts at TheLysts and someone pointed out Grey Dragon's promise to get a tattoo if tPotS and CC sold a combined 500,000 copies. Some mention of this was made at UO as well and GD responded, confirming his promise. Anyway, another Lyster responded to the Lyst post by saying he/she had telephoned Katie Postma at Ubisoft and she confirmed that 500,000 units had already sold.........well, I took that with a grain of salt figuring this person was teasing to get a rise out of GD.
Tonight I was scrolling through Amazon (I plan on buying the new and improved Prima Guide) and just for laughs I looked up tPotS. I know they listed the game as available on 7/7. I know I saw that. And when any item arrives in stock it usually indicates that the item will ship in 24 hours. Well, it now reads that it will ship within one to two weeks. This is usually an indicator that all available copies have sold out and the item is on back-order.
Is it possible that the Lyster was telling the truth?! Can they really have sold 500,000 copies worldwide? Has the word really spread regarding Uru? There are many of us who still haven't purchased our multiple copies yet. The numbers sold wouldn't even reflect retail sales!! This is too much.....................maybe. I'm also curious as to what GD's tatoo will look like if this is. _________________ No-one has explained WHY a raven is like a writing desk! |

The Lyster was joking....
So, the first part of my post is not true......the second part is.
I'm going to contact Katie myself in a few weeks to get those sales figures. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

I vote for "The Whole Body Yeesha" tattoo... Arms, face, a total copy of our heroine's body art.

I'm with you, Cuzin.........unfortunately, I know he stated the tattoo would be a little shell on his shoulder...........and I believe Katie said she'd do the same on her ankle.........unless her husband talks her out of it. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Be sure the guy at the tattoo parlor knows the right design.

Just happily surfing around Amazon.co.uk and had a look at tpots and Uru Chronicles. For Uru Chronicles it says they've sold 704 copies with only 5 copies left in stock, and for Path of the Shell 237. Not sure how accurate that is though. |

Dangerous offer you're making there Mystlander... you're gonna wind up bringing out our more 'debaucherous' instincts...

Well, myself I bought both Path of the Shell and Complete Chronicles from Amazon. You know, collecting the whole set.
Dangerous words there Mystlander. I happen to know that the guys at Cyan would love to see Live reawakened if they had the chance. _________________
