|
|
Just wanted to thank Tehl Nava for the wonderful Stevie Ray Vaughan concert
at the docks in Ae'gura last night. We had a great time chatting and dancing...

Looking forward to the next concert! _________________ URU Live KI #: 50911 MOULa KI #11697212

I think I may have started something here.
Yeah it was interesting to see Eric L in on one of the concerts.
BTW, I'm setting up a computer upgrade/mod allowing me to make better use of my equipment. _________________

Darn. sorry I missed that.
Tehl, how do you get music streaming to work? Do you just hold down the tab button the whole time?? _________________

I tried the holding the TAB key bit, fingers start to hurt after a while.
I typically take small clamp or wedge the key down. Right now, I'm wedging it down with the wrapper from a Hershey's Kiss. _________________

Darn, too bad I missed it! I suppose he played "Texas Flood" and "The Sky is Crying", two of my favorites. I think I'll watch my SRV video this evening so I can make up for missing the concert. _________________ Uru Live KI #: 69208

Well, I could map the chat function onto a gamepad....
But then I'd have more controls to deal with.
I could map all main controls onto my gamepad like I did during Live....
I didn't wind up playing those actually. The concert kinda broke up early. _________________

Well, the concert was a spark of serendipity... We tried a couple of locations, before settling in at the docks. Tehl was taking requests, so I asked him to play my favorite SRV tune... Rivera Paradise. _________________ URU Live KI #: 50911 MOULa KI #11697212

To use a MICROPHONE (not all mics need this setting):
* Be sure the microphone is connected to the mic input of the soundcard.
* If your microphone has a mute button, be sure it isn't muted.
* Check the settings for your microphone to be sure that it's enabled in Windows. (In XP: Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume tab > Device Volume > Advanced...)
* Be sure that under Micropone, the Muted box is UNCHECKED.
* Click the Advanced button under Microphone and be sure that the box marked 1 Mic Boost (+20dB) is CHECKED. (when done, close this box)
* Adjust volume settings as needed.
To use a POWERED AUDIO DEVICE (CD player, higher quality mics, etc.):
* Be sure the output (typically headphone jack)of the device is connected to the mic input of the soundcard.
* Be sure the output of the device isn't muted.
* Check the settings for your microphone to be sure that it's enabled in Windows. (In XP: Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume tab > Device Volume > Advanced...)
* Be sure that under Micropone, the Muted box is UNCHECKED.
* Click the Advanced button under Microphone and be sure that the box marked 1 Mic Boost (+20dB) is UNCHECKED. (when done, close this box)
* Adjust volume settings as needed.
When in the cavern, press and hold the TAB key to activate voice. Just be aware that only those players whose names are bracketed can hear you. _________________
