Myst Worlds just posted the trailer for EoA! It looks like we make it back down into the cavern, however a couple hundred years before Uru mind you, and encounter the Bahro on some Age. It looks awesome! Check it out on the site or simply download it like I did! Shorah!

I've seen something vaguely official to the effect that Myst V follows chronologically on from the end of original Myst...do you think this is what we were off doing before we went back to Atrus to do Riven?

(Mind you, I've also read somewhere that it's supposed to be after Uru...

There is much speculation about this and no real answers yet. But, IF that is Yeesha in the trailer, we may assume that MV takes place after Uru. The biggest problem I see with that, however, is that we saw Yeesha with our own eyes at the end of Uru Prime...in present day. IF this is an older Yeesha MV would have to take place sometime in the future. It's a mystery, I tellya!

You think the old woman is Yeesha? Yeah she's got the bird, but the woman looks too sophisticated to be Yeesha. Yeesha was always speaking against the pride of D'ni, so I doubt that she would ever dress like that.

Whoa... I just had a thought.

The main storyline has all taken place after BoA and before BoD. What if EoA springboards off of BoD and these are people from Terahnee and the other Ages Atrus found D'ni survivors in? Thoughts? Speculations?

(We sure have a lot of acronyms for Myst stuff, don't we?)

It's pretty much been confirmed that it is, indeed (probably), Yeesha in the trailer. This has been confirmed by her presence in the videos that were released by IGN. She's older, hair's darker, and yes, honestly, not nearly as attractive. Sorry to say that, but it's true. Embarassed

I now see why you believe the woman is Yeesha. The videos are very spoilerish and cool. I am excited and sad for the release of this game as it means the conclusion of the Myst series... Although I can understand how the Miller brothers want a new project to work on after 15 years on the Myst games. Let's hope Something Else is just as spectacular!

I was on vacation when this came through... I'll have to download them all at home... better PC, faster Internet connection than at work.

I just hope I don't have to upgrade my PC again to play it...

I'm hoping for Myst 5 to be chronologically after Uru. I remember the DRC mentioning a D'ni that lived in Noloben, and this certainly seems to follow in some regard.

Plus, Cyan's orginal intention of Uru was to have you become a part of the Myst (D'ni) story, so I would see this as a continuation of the Myst story, only now instead of being the stranger, you are actually the protagonist once again. "Welcome to Myst." Very Happy

Either way I'm excited -- I'm seriously avoiding spoilers this time around... seriously. Laughing

I think what I found most exciting (that nobody has mentioned) is the way Cyan has reworked the interface to the game. It's a hybrid between the still-picture format and full movement. This already has me hoping for an "easter egg" full movement mode...
