Moiety Jean and I just got back from another visit to Cyan (thanks GD and Rand and Chris!). MAN I wish I could talk about what we saw... B)
Myst V is sweet. The story is going to be really interesting, for sure. The gameplay is great, the ages are amazing - they look even better than Uru/TPotS, etc.
I'd say more, but other people already have.
The future is going to be interesting, too.
Oh! Almost forgot. Some of the UU people sent pizza to Cyan the day we were there, so we got to have some. Thanks for that, whoever you were. _________________ #Brian Fioca

Looks like the Professor is finally going to get his turn to visit the good people at Cyan come October. Er....meaning me, of course.
Myst V will already be out so I will give them a proper review (if I get it in time before we leave for vacation). And maybe by then they'll be willing to share a little Latus? Hee hee! Well, we'll see. No pressure. I just want to see the House of Myst. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Someday I'll make my pilgrimage up to Cyan. Someday...

Latus? Is this the current name for Something Else? _________________ Jaharen

Thanks for that, Brian. Now I'll be pulling my hair out between now and October 10. Sheesh. Talk about torture. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

The pizza was courtesy of visitors to The Tapestry Forum who chipped in for the First Anniversary Celebration of Until Uru. _________________ URU Live KI #: 50911 MOULa KI #11697212

I'm there all the time! How did I miss that? Oh, well, I'm sure a good time was had by all. Good timing, Brian. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Is there still a company to visit? Cyan hasn't posted any official company statement on their website. I know Rand and someone else are still around, but is the studio still there? I still want to go if there is! _________________ Jaharen

I made my trip, Eleri, but it didn't include a visit to Cyan unfortunately.
I was trying to make all the arrangements prior to the announcement of Cyan closing shop. Finally Gray Dragon told me it wouldn't be possible for a visit at the time I scheduled with them. I was a little hurt at the time but the announcement that there was no more Cyan came shortly thereafter and it all made perfect sense. By the time they announced that they were back on their feet it was too late for me to change our itinerary...so I didn't bother recontacting them.
Bummer. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |
