GameShadow has the exclusive to distribute the Myst V demo for PC and it is up now! You can get it right here.
http://www.gameshadow.com/myst5/
I used the West Coast Server (which I hear now is dedicated) and was able to download the demo in less than 15 minutes with New York City's wonderful cable system. I did, however, have to shut off Zone Alarm to do it.
Others who aren't having as much luck as I did actually downloaded the GameShadow client thingie and are having much better luck.
GameShadow has now of that spyware poo and other ugly things. Everyone's been saying good things about it. But, like I said, I went straight to the download and had no problems.
Oh....and the demo? Gorgeous. Go download it. Go on! _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

OMG! The demo is awesome! I'm going to have to play it again to find everything in it. Then perhaps a third time just for fun. _________________ Jaharen

I'm still stuck. My brain always shuts down when I play these games. Did I mention I mostly play for story purposes? Ah, well, I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

After finishing the demo I must say that was probably the most satisfying gameplay experience I've had in quite some time. Just as with the Myst 4 demonstration at Mysterium, this demo has totally broken any worries I may have had for the game.
And on a side note -- an observation. Moving linking panels. Yeah, baby. |

I've really enjoyed the demo myself...though I've been a little dense with the puzzle....which is nothing new for me. lol
And I still haven't finished it! There's a big rock blocking my view! And I know I solved the puzzle. I'll give it one more shot later.
But, I do think we have a lot to look forward to...especially after I finish building my new machine. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Now I'll have something to do until Myst V ships on September 20... _________________ URU Live KI #: 50911 MOULa KI #11697212
