Victor Laxman posted again. Here's the link:

Methinks the DRC is going through some (re)growing pains. But, it's nice to get a nibble of info.
Now, if only ResEng233 would tidy up the forum somewhat.
Hmm...I wonder if I should have said that out loud. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Yeah, but sometimes the arrogance of that guy really bugs me. Throw us a bone? We are explorers, not trained dogs. I wish Sharper would come back and put him in his place.

I think he used the term cause that's what some of the explorers were saying. _________________

I guess that's true Eleri. My apology to Victor for over-reacting, but I still wish Sharper was here to set the tone for future dealings with the DRC.

Quite amusing.
Original use of the analogy:

Use that prompted this latest response:
http://drcsite.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=174
I suspect that, regardless of past feelings and all, it is reasonable to give the DRC a bit of piece and quiet. It won't help anyone to fill up their e-mail inboxes with inquiries.
This latest message gives us a little more information than we had before, at least. We now know that Kodama is at least partially on board for whatever they're working on. Engberg is less certain... 'contacted' doesn't assure us that he is available.
And the last thing that this message tells us, perhaps most importantly, is that they are aware of us. They know we're still here, and they are reading what we're saying on the forum. |

That's funny, Marten, I remember that original "bone" post quite clearly. I remember, too, that there was quite a reaction to the term.
And I agree, Ashtar, it would be nice to know where Sharper might fit into all this if at all. It seems more of the original team has been in touch with each other. Still no nibbles on Brian's open invitation to post. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

It was nice to finally hear from Laxman, even if we did hafta beat it out of him... People seem to find it very interesting that Watson isn't on the in-list, although it makes sense considering the way he just up and left in the middle of the thing last time. With only the three of them on board so far, mebbe there will be new faces? They can't carry it on alone, even with the four of them (and Engberg sure carried his weight) it was tough...
Who else was part of the "unofficial" DRC? Sharper we haven't heard from, Phil of course is gone for the moment, anyone else we should be looking out for?

There are, or were, plenty of Restoration Engineers like Nick White and company.
