I had a bit of an idea. Why don't we re-write the stories of some of the more important events which occured during Prologue in actual prose rather than leaving them as Chat logs. If a newbie is trying to catch up on whats happened a chat log can be a time consuming thing to read through. So how about writing the Guild Hall incident, getting people to post exactly what it was they saw, and re-writing it as a story. Same with Sharper opening the egg room and breaking down the barricades.
It seems like something the Great Tree should do considering how important those two were to the creation of our group.
And who knows maybe when the DRC gets funding again we can ask them for some stationary. It would be great to have the stories of Sharper and Henderson (sounds like a buddy cop show from the 70s) placed in the classroom waiting to be read. |

This is something I've been knocking around since Live closed. I've approached Moiety Jean about this then I got horribly distracted with my relocation. But, the dust is starting to settle and maybe we can begin discussing how we can go about this. It's a great idea, Daniel. I think a lot of people would enjoy reading this. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

In one of the threads where someone was complaining about experiencing the current Until Uru activity in chat logs, I believe someone mentioned The Echo from Prologue days. That is probably an ideal format, really... _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Brian started doing that at one point I think, although from more of an autobiography pov than a prose narrative. Fascinating stuff, I had no idea all that was going on. I always meant to ask him about finishing the project. Sounds like he got distracted though!
But yeah, I would love to see more of that. At this point it's kind of an oral history, and writing it down for posterity would be awesome. Especially for those of us who know the general facts but not the details! And when we get hordes of new folks flooding the Cavern (cautious optimism), they're all going to need it too.

I have posted the foundation for my story on the main page. It includes every major event from a pseudo 1st and 3rd person POV.
Uru Story - Daedalus
Brian's history is quite good. This just seemed a good way to get down all that I remember. |

Very good Daedalus, I enjoyed reading your story. I've also read Brian's Uru Live/Prologue storyline Part I. I've been hoping that he would get busy on part 2 in the near future In reading both stories I've learned so much about the history of the Great Tree and it's early origins.

I stopped my story because I was about to get into some insider details that might be important to keep secret if the story ever started up... and it looks like it might. _________________ #Brian Fioca

The thought occurred to me the other day that we might be able to turn these events into a part of the Cavern Today podcast. I've been meaning to try my hand at podcasting for a while... A sort of playful public-radio style "conspiracy theorist" show would be a lot of fun to write for. _________________ KI: 34353 |
