i noticed that we have a GTshard on the shard list but i am unable to get on it.....does anyone here know how to get on it?

The only way to access shards other than D'mala is to have a Kagi key. If you registered for D'mala by invitation, then you cannot access either of the Great Tree shards (there are actually two). This is explained in a little more detail at my Until Uru Revival Resource - check "About the other shards" on the second page, http://marten.treeweasel.com/UntilUru/index2.html.

Ashtar runs the Great Tree shards and can help you out if you are experiencing other issues.

The primary Great Tree shard is an official Until Uru shard running Cyan's plasma server.

The secondary Great Tree shard is an Alcugs shard. Alcugs is a server that was reverse engineered from examining Cyan's network data! Under normal circumstances (if Uru Live had happened), it would be illegal, but Cyan has been very tolerant of Alcugs given the situation.

Another interesting point about Alcugs is that it is "compatible" with the expansions (To D'ni and The Path of the Shell). Many things don't work quite right (puzzles were designed for only one player in the age, and there is no chat facility, so TeamSpeak is a must to chat with fellow explorers there).

The Who's Online Uru webpage will show you the status of most Plasma and Alcugs servers.

Actually KI chat does work in Alcugs now due to some nice KI work. (http://www.greattreeshard.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=123). The only thing about the chat is you have to /shout everytime you want to speak. A lot of the crashing issues have been solved aswell. Yes, there are still bugs but it is still a lot of fun Smile

Like the UU servers (excluding D'mala) you need a KAGI key to use the Alcugs shards.

As I already explained (read the webpage to which I pointed you!), new Kagi keys are not currently available.
