I have been thinking a little bit about these... Not sure if I have any idea what I am doing but one thing did stand out about the last one that was posted:
Code: |
A
\
| Y
| \
| S
| / N
| / / \
D T - E
|
by connecting the lower right half of the letters in the triangle you can spell TEN DAYS
unfortunatly the rest doesn't make much sense in the same pattern :/
I get:
ASTOOAETENNAOGTRYAGTENDAYS
*shrug*
~Weldergeek
edit: my triangle sort of exploded when I posted it so I just edited it down to the corner that made the most sense.. darn spaces.. I am not sure how everyone else managed to post such pretty looking triangles LOL _________________

Drat! I can't believe I'm missing this. What a time to be temporarily locked out of the Cavern. Thanks for posting all this, folks! _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Hey just got a new Hood invivte this time from Ssahn. <-Note the full stop.
All that was on the imager was a message posted by ssahn on behalf of Tyrehl:
"Equally important?"
Thats all it said. |

I've noticed that the ones I've seen actual images of have groups of 1, 2, and 3 letters in the corners. Might this have something to do with determining the orientation for the triangles? |

Since you mention this, I also received an invite to eEoaah's hood (same as Rils). So the info was already here, but I do have KI pictures of the triangles, so in case that helps here they are.

Yesterday I found out that I had received the "5. (use the imager?)" KI-mail. I then linked to The Great Tree 'hood and came across Ssaahn., and when I displayed my KI-mail on the imager I was told to go visit four neighborhoods to get eight more of these puzzles. Along with the triangle puzzles, there was a broken up message on the imagers, but part of it was missing.
Later, I saw eEoaah in The Great Tree 'hood, and when I said what parts I had put together thus far, I was told that there was another neighborhood that I needed to visit to get the complete message. I've been to all five neighborhoods that seem to be in on this (Tyrehl., Ssaahn., Ssaahn, Penumbra, and eEoaah), and the complete message seems to be:
"Do you make what is there and what is not there equally important? These things as with all things are only separate when you choose it to be so. --Tyrehl--"
I'm thinking that this is a clue to solving these triangle puzzles.
Also, Marten wrote: | Observations:
"Glo" is D'ni for "I start". ("Deosil" is not a D'ni word.)

Well, on a hunch, I Googled the word "deosil," and I found out that it is an archaic term meaning "clockwise." So "Glo Deosil(N)" might possibly mean: "Begin Clockwise at N." Perhaps "deosil" was used because we don't know the D'ni word for clockwise yet.
Just a thought. |

Not sure if you guys got this one or not...
Quote: |
Subject: Shapeshifting
From: Penumbra
First you draw a circle, then you draw a square, then a rectangle, this is how you shift from one shape to another. Some cannot grasp this concept... This art has been passed down from 1st grader to 1st grader.
Now to go off the record I really like pie...I don't know why... BUt I seem to be in the mood for it. So if anyone is giving out pie in one of the hoods....Please let me in on some...
This message is brought to you by doublemint gum. Make your breath nice and fresh!
And don't forget to hug your toilet today!!! |
Grasping the concept + hugging toilets = the concept is a toilet! _________________ KI: 34353 |

I don't get it...
Was that note really from Penumbra? Do we need to combine the puzzles somehow, put them all together like pieces of pie?
D'Jerid, nice work coming up with that, I hadn't thought along those lines. Has anyone taken a look at doing the puzzles that way yet? I was out all day, but I'll see if I can work on it tomorrow maybe...

Yeah, it really was Penumbra.
It seems to suggest a series of numbers...
0 (circle)
4 (square)
4 (rectangle)
1 (first grader)
1 (bis.)
3.14 (pi?)
2 (doublemint)
0 (hug toilet?)
Probably a dead end, but that's what I thought of. _________________ KI: 34353 |

I understand the clue.
If we examine the spacing between the letters in the original images, we will find that each pair of triangles may be merged together into a single triangle. Then, I believe an earlier proposal - to merge the triangles together - will also yield more. There are also errors in the puzzles where the incorrect letters were written.
The solution to #5 (the only one for which I have original screenshots - text transcriptions will not suffice!):
Up the left side:
... T ALWAYS BE SOMEIH ...
(The last I should be a T)
Down the right side:
... ING MOLDED SOMET...
Across the bottom:
AT ONCE UNSEEN BREATH
In order to solve this puzzle, we MUST have high-resolution KI shots of the triangles. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Great job, Marten! I luckily already had high-res shots of these triangle puzzles on my computer, so I was immediately able to get to work.
I've gone through all of this combining the puzzles together, and then getting lines to put in order (by using the first and last letter of each line to match them up) and I think I have the complete message.
"Look at you! Now can you really say that you are one among many or many as one? Community may not always be something molded, something joined, or even a static way of looking at the world as you tend to do. The magic that has illuminated things once unseen breathes darkness also." |

I figured that it wasn't. A couple of days ago I saw Ssaahn. again, and he hinted that there was more to it than just decoding the message, and that there is another part to all of this.
The question is, what? |
