DRC / LIAISON ANNOUNCEMENT:
It has come to our attention that the Town Hall (TH) meetings will be held in two separate formats, in two separate neighborhoods, that will be announced before the meetings are to take place. These meetings may be led by a member of the DRC (IC) or may be led by a member of Cyan (OOC).
If led by a member of the DRC - then all questions should be pertaining to the restoration of the cavern, current restoration of Ages, if any new books have been found, history of the D'ni, etc.
If led by a member of Cyan - then all questions should be pertaining to subjects like new Ages being developed, future plans for UrU, issues dealing with servers, lag, and mechanics, etc.
These meetings may be held at the same time in different neighborhoods or at varying times throughout the day. No definitive schedule has been laid out yet. This will help those explorers who are not so much interested in what the DRC are planning and are more interested in what Cyan is planning. We all ask that everyone please be respectful of the different meetings being help and the type of meeting you may attend. We are also investigating how to appropriately incorporate translators for all our non-English speaking explorers.
If you are interested in volunteering your neighborhood for a meeting, we ask that you please specify whether you would like to host a DRC (IC) meeting or a Cyan (OOC) meeting. You can post this in this thread or the the ANNOUNCEMENT: Town Hall Meeting Formats thread on the DRC Site.
I would like to ask of those volunteering their respective neighborhoods to please give the actual full name of your neighborhood and neighbor hood number and please specify if you want to host IC, OOC or both.. This will help us to better facilitate and make an easier to follow listing.
So far we have:

2. The Institution (31) - Mon Apr 17, 2006 10:04 pm

Here's Gray's announcement at DRC and my subsequent response.

Our doors are, of course, open to both parties and all the Explorers we can fit.
Having a chat with Cyan sounds very exciting and could hopefully prove very informative.
Personally, I would love to have a face to face with the DRC. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Thanks, CAGrayWolf!
Will the topics be announced before the meetings? That'd give us time to prepare good, meaty questions. _________________ KI: 34353 |

Sounds good, I think we would all like to welcome the DRC to the GT hood and have a nice little chat over tea!

I agree that it would be interesting to meet with either Cyan or the DRC, but personally it seems as if it would be particularly appropriate for the Great Tree to host the DRC. I think this would set a good tone for dealings with them in the future (hopefully, if all works out, and there is an "in the future.") That is, we like them, we're friendly with them, but we don't let them off the hook answering the hard questions... and they can ask us hard questions too.
I'll bring dessert.
(I have officially joined the Great Tree, by the way, thanks to CuzinJohn's help. I'm very excited about it! Yay!)

Welcome, Welcome, Annacat!!
We're very happy to have you. The Great Tree is where Uru lives.
Let us know if you need any blanks filled in as far as our history and whatnot. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |
