Oh, no, Cycreim! That's awful!
We'll do what we can to find your book, but in the meantime... be careful out there, OK?
I hope your book is returned to you soon.
(And... do we need some sort of basic plan for this meeting, or are we going to wing it?)

I was just gonna wing it
This meeting is more along the lines of the first liason meeting anyway isn't it? Just sort of setting up how following meetings will work and such, right?
Anyway I hope I'm not overstepping the line but I'm about to post a small welcome message on the imager for the meeting, just saying welcome and thanks for attending and such, mention our support for this improved communication, put the website addy up and I'm gonna stick about afterwards in case anyone wants to join the hood.
See ya down there Anna |

Winging it is fine with me. If the DRC has some sort of set agenda, they're more than welcome to follow it, but I don't think we need one on our end. I do get the impression this is more sort of a meet and greet, and that more issue-based chats will be announced later.
I think a welcome message on the imager is a really nice idea. That will set the tone well, I think.
See you down there indeed. I think I've got Mountain Time sorted out. I'm excited about this. I think it'll be fun!

Yipes, Cycreim!
I'll keep a lookout for anyone with no Relto book (and maybe too many Relto books). Good luck finding it... _________________ What a wonderful thing it is to spend time with people who aren't obligated to be there, either. |

Well I'm at work on the surface, so unfortunately, I will not be able to join you at the meeting . However I hope those who can attend enjoy yourselves and please keep chat logs. Also, try to hit Kodama up for a picture of a new age they are restoring

Crud.
I wanted to try and make it down to the Cavern today, but I got tied up at work on the surface.
Can't wait to see the chat logs and KI-pix! _________________ KI 182798

I'll probably be hitting the GoG after work today.
Thanks for putting the welcome message up, Daniel. Nice touch.
I think this will definitely be a meet and greet-type of meeting so hammering the DRC with Phil Henderson-type questions may not be very appropriate to start, in my opinion. However, if the occasion comes up, perhaps we could mention our interest in having some serious questions answered. Other than that, I would just have fun and enjoy this new situation. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

We'll behave, don't worry.
I'm about to head down now; figured I'd get there early. Full report when we're finished, of course.

(Apologies for double post, but I promised to report when I got back, so...)
My report: Failure.
Apologies.
I was chat-bugged from very early on and kept crashing. Apparently the chatlog I tried to take did not work, and I wasn't even able to hear much of what happened.
There was one thing I actually managed to hear that I found extremely interesting, but I'll refrain from discussing it until someone is able to get chatlogs up so I can get the wording right. It could be meaningless, but I want to see what you guys think. More to follow on that.
I managed to get a couple of pics. They're not great or very close up, but I put them on the imager in the Great Tree if you guys want to see them.
Dr. Kodama was very nice about answering questions, but seemed a little put off by some confusion over moderation. He seemed pretty forthcoming, though, actually. I just wish I'd actually heard more!
I'm sorry...

Here's a nearly complete chatlog from the meeting. Just missing the very beginning and the end of the meeting. Maybe someone can fill in those sections
Also, I couldn't get the tags to work.... sorry

(04/26 18:56:31) Chat.log started...
(04/26 18:56:42) vid: thank you so much for taking time out from your hard work for us
(04/26 18:57:42) Cathy: Shorah
(04/26 18:57:45) Whilyam waves
(04/26 18:58:02) Whilyam: Shorah, Dr. Kodama
(04/26 18:58:29) Dr. Kodama: Hello all.
(04/26 18:58:39) Dr. Kodama: I'll wait for a moderator before we begin.
(04/26 18:58:49) SuperGram: Hi Dr. Kodama
(04/26 18:58:50) subumbra: Ok
(04/26 18:59:22) Anna Catherine: Who will moderate?
(04/26 18:59:26) Dr. Kodama: I don't know. I would have assumed whoever it was would have been here by now.
(04/26 18:59:54) Anna Catherine: Was our Hood supposed to pick someone? If so, we missed the memo.
(04/26 19:00:17) ABguy: maybe you get the fun one on one conversation type forum instead of standard QandA
(04/26 19:00:29) Dr. Kodama: Yes, fun.
(04/26 19:00:37) From Anna Catherine: Is dcosgrove still here? Can he emergency moderate if needed?
(04/26 19:00:56) To dcosgrove: anna would like to know if you would moderate
(04/26 19:01:06) To Anna Catherine: ok I asked him
(04/26 19:01:30) Dr. Kodama: It's past 11. First question?
(04/26 19:01:51) Whilyam: How has your stance on explorers changed since taking the Journey?
(04/26 19:01:52) To Anna Catherine: He didn't answer
(04/26 19:02:03) Dr. Kodama: I'm not sure it has changed.
(04/26 19:02:17) From Anna Catherine: OK, I'll see what i can do.
(04/26 19:02:1 Dr. Kodama: next.
(04/26 19:02:22) ABguy: So, Phil Henderson, Sharper, and Watson what gives?
(04/26 19:02:36) Dr. Kodama: What do you mean by that? What gives?
(04/26 19:02:45) ABguy: What happened to them?
(04/26 19:02:56) ABguy: What does the DRC know anyway?
(04/26 19:03:06) Dr. Kodama: Sharper is probably excited about the upcoming draft.
(04/26 19:03:16) subumbra: Lol
(04/26 19:03:19) ABguy: lol
(04/26 19:03:23) Dr. Kodama: Henderson is probably smoking drugs and Watson...no one seems to know.
(04/26 19:03:3 Dr. Kodama: Kidding, of course.
(04/26 19:04:03) Dr. Kodama: Next.
(04/26 19:04:05) Kai-Uwe: Will there be any chance in the future, that we explorers could support the DRC in exploring a new discovered age?
(04/26 19:04:29) Ti'chelle: Explorers, please use /shout so that everyone can hear you. Thanks.
(04/26 19:04:35) Eleri: Sorry about that everybuggy
(04/26 19:04:51) Dr. Kodama: Is this our moderator?
(04/26 19:05:15) Eleri: Yup. Instant Liasion, just add lake water
(04/26 19:05:29) Whilyam: At the liaison meeting the DRC said that Watson's situation was something best left for another time. Just what does that mean? You don't know? You think it is too destabilizing?
(04/26 19:05:47) Halvor waves
(04/26 19:06:04) Dr. Kodama: If I'm to answer for myself, personally, I'm not sure where Watson stands. I have not spoken to him for some time.
(04/26 19:06:21) subumbra: how many people are there currently in the DRC?
(04/26 19:06:24) Dr. Kodama: I have attempted to contact him with no luck.
(04/26 19:06:37) vid: Dr. Kodama, have you ever been involved with any surface expeditions and restoration? And if so, how does that compare to working in D'ni?
(04/26 19:07:27) Dr. Kodama: Yes, both are similar.
(04/26 19:08:10) Dr. Kodama: Both have moments of excitement and moments of just work
(04/26 19:08:40) Dr. Kodama: But both are rewarding.
(04/26 19:08:49) vid cheers
(04/26 19:09:02) Dr. Kodama: and, sometimes, frustrating.
(04/26 19:09:14) Dr. Kodama: Next.
(04/26 19:09:21) vid: bu the good usually outweighs the bad
(04/26 19:09:26) Dr. Kodama: Yes.
(04/26 19:09:42) Halvor: Are you planning on working closer with the explorers (and groups like The Great Tree) in the future than you have done in the past?
(04/26 19:09:42) subumbra: what are the DRCs immediate plans, should the funding come through?
(04/26 19:10:41) Dr. Kodama: Halvor. I think we will work a little more closely although that can mean different things to different people.
(04/26 19:10:53) Dr. Kodama: sub - Begin working on Ages.
(04/26 19:11:04) Alahmnat: how hard is it to do restoration work in a suit?
(04/26 19:11:05) Whilyam: Marie has said that the reason the picture of Eder Delin looks like Kemo is because all rest ages have the same basic features. If this is so, when will we see the "rest" portion of Eder Gira?
(04/26 19:11:19) Dr. Kodama: The suit is only for meetings like these
(04/26 19:11:37) Eleri: would it be easier on everyone to queue up questions?
(04/26 19:11:4 Dr. Kodama: I don't believe the "rest" portion of Eder Gira is on top of the priority list.
(04/26 19:11:51) ireenq_translator: YES, please!!!!
(04/26 19:11:52) Halvor nods his head
(04/26 19:11:57) Whilyam: It'd be easier on Kodama
(04/26 19:12:04) Kai-Uwe: Will ther be any cha
(04/26 19:12:10) Ti'chelle: Yes thanks.
(04/26 19:12:11) Whilyam: We're close to mobbing him.
(04/26 19:12:14) Eleri: OK. Sorry I'm so late. I got stuck in Nexus. We'll do like before.
(04/26 19:12:16) Kai-Uwe: sorry
(04/26 19:12:27) Dr. Kodama: So, we have a moderator now?
(04/26 19:12:46) vid: *cheer* Thanks Eleri!!
(04/26 19:12:47) Whilyam: We /wave to join the queue, correct?
(04/26 19:13:00) Eleri: if you want to ask a question, please wave, and I'll add your name to the list, and call on people in order

(04/26 19:14:44) Halvor: What part do you play in restoring ages?
(04/26 19:14:53) Dr. Kodama: Council member. Oversee Phase One and Two restoration work.
(04/26 19:15:0 Dr. Kodama: Which means the early work.
(04/26 19:15:13) Kai-Uwe winkt
(04/26 19:15:22) Dr. Kodama: /Shout Structural integrity and the like.
(04/26 19:15:33) Dr. Kodama: Next.
(04/26 19:15:52) Whilyam: We've heard that you and Mr. Engberg are working on the Kahlo Age. What state is the Age in now and when do you expect it to be finished?
(04/26 19:16:29) Dr. Kodama: Hmm. It's not in a good state. There is still quite a bit of work to do and we simply don't have the manpower to do it right now.
(04/26 19:16:35) Dr. Kodama: I don't know a date.
(04/26 19:16:49) Dr. Kodama: Next.
(04/26 19:16:51) Eleri: ABGuy?
(04/26 19:16:55) ABguy: mineral rights to the cavern who owns them and what is there to prevent another party from taking them i.e. oil companies or entrepenures?
(04/26 19:17:0 Whilyam: Ti'chelle was next, I think
(04/26 19:17:39) Dr. Kodama: I try to stay out of those aspects. I'll leave that to the lawyers.
(04/26 19:17:45) Eleri: S'ok. Please wait to be called on though
(04/26 19:18:03) Dr. Kodama: Were you interested in mining?
(04/26 19:18:10) Dr. Kodama: Next.
(04/26 19:18:15) Eleri: Ti'chelle?
(04/26 19:18:22) wkwalker waves
(04/26 19:18:26) Ti'chelle: Hello Dr. Kodama. Has a base number of hopeful explorers been set to secure further funding?
(04/26 19:19:16) Dr. Kodama: I'm not sure there is a magic number.
(04/26 19:19:41) Dr. Kodama: I prefer to focus on the Ages until someone tells me to stop because we have no money.
(04/26 19:19:51) Dr. Kodama: Next.
(04/26 19:19:53) Eleri: Nootilus?
(04/26 19:20:00) vid waves
(04/26 19:20:16) Whilyam waves
(04/26 19:20:49) Nootilus: The city is dark and eerie. Is there any plan to revive it a bit?
(04/26 19:21:12) Nootilus: Any chance to have some warm places in other words?
(04/26 19:21:29) Dr. Kodama: Plans...yes. Soon...probably not to any large degree.
(04/26 19:21:4 Dr. Kodama: Warm places? There are a few I have been to.
(04/26 19:21:52) Dr. Kodama: Next.
(04/26 19:21:55) Eleri: Subumbra?
(04/26 19:22:0 subumbra: Should the DRC get the funding it needs, is there any plan to open sections of the City Proper?
(04/26 19:23:02) Dr. Kodama: Again, plans...yes. As to how soon, I can't say. There is obviously a lot of city and we would love to open it all...someday.
(04/26 19:23:15) Dr. Kodama: Next.
(04/26 19:23:36) Eleri: WK?
(04/26 19:23:50) Ti'chelle waves
(04/26 19:24:17) wkwalker: Speaking of opening the city...any idea on the sequence? I'd love to get access to the 2nd floor of the Kadish Library, for example.

(04/26 19:26:03) Dr. Kodama: I'm not sure I can speak to an exact schedule as there is so much up in the air right now in regards to time and resources.
(04/26 19:26:12) Dr. Kodama: That will determine a lot of the schedule.
(04/26 19:26:25) Dr. Kodama: Next.

(04/26 19:26:51) vid: Dr. Kodama, what's been your favorite age to visit and work on so far?

(04/26 19:28:22) Dr. Kodama: It's beautiful, unique, and has a lot to do in it.

(04/26 19:28:39) Eleri: Alahmnat?
(04/26 19:28:45) Alahmnat: should funding come through, are there any plans to better enable the distribution of news and other explorer-created content in-Cavern? Or should I ask Laxman this afternoon?
(04/26 19:29:29) Dr. Kodama: We have addressed that in various meetings. Yes, we would love to have a Guild of Messengers at some point who carry the news and we have discussed mechanisms for them to better be able to do that.
(04/26 19:29:40) Dr. Kodama: Next.
(04/26 19:29:43) Eleri: Whilyam?
(04/26 19:29:46) Whilyam: The official word from the DRC about Phil's last accident was that he fell during a collapse of a bridge in the Guild Hall. However, many saw a plume or smoke rising from the Hall and many first described the event as an "explosion." Could you explain the smoke and the event more clearly?
(04/26 19:30:05) Whilyam: of*
(04/26 19:30:39) Dr. Kodama: I believe the smoke and explosion was merely the collapse of a structure. Such a collapse can come across as an "explosoin"
(04/26 19:31:11) Dr. Kodama: There was a large section of structure that collapsed creating a tremendous cloud of dust and noise.
(04/26 19:31:15) Dr. Kodama: Next.

(04/26 19:32:57) Dr. Kodama: Those issues are out of my hands.
(04/26 19:33:13) Dr. Kodama: When someone tells me to stop, I"ll stop. Until then, I'll work.
(04/26 19:33:19) Dr. Kodama: Next, and last question.
(04/26 19:33:50) Eleri: I'd like to ask a wrap up question, please
(04/26 19:34:21) Eleri: How did you first come to D'ni and the DRC, and what was your recation to the discovey?
(04/26 19:35:0 Dr. Kodama: I knew Dr. Watson because of our connections in the teaching profession. He first asked me for a visit in '94 and I was, of course, amazed.
(04/26 19:35:25) Dr. Kodama: I have seen some amazing places on this Earth - there are many - and the cavern was yet another.
(04/26 19:36:13) Dr. Kodama: I was pleased to work with Dr. Watson and accept his request for his aid in this restoration effort. It was not a difficult decision.
(04/26 19:36:1 Dr. Kodama: Thank you all.

Yay! Thanks Ghaelen! This is almost like... being there... erm...
Here's what caught my attention.
When he was asked about Phil:
Quote: | (04/26 19:03:23 ) Dr. Kodama: Henderson is probably smoking drugs and Watson...no one seems to know.
(04/26 19:03:3 ) Dr. Kodama: Kidding, of course. |
Yeah, he's joking, and I was kind of shocked at first-- it kind of seemed like several people were-- but then I realized what he actually said.
He referred to Phil in the present tense. He discussed Phil doing something that would require being alive.
Yeah, I know he was joking, but it's a weird thing to say about a dead guy, joke or no joke. I mean, "He was probably smoking drugs, then he died" would be one thing, but... Kodama makes it sound like he's alive. He makes it sound like Phil's just hanging out somewhere.
I wonder if Dr. Kodama might know something about Phil. And that interests me a great deal.

(04/26 18:05:10) Marie Sutherland: Eder Delin is coming along nicely, but there is no definite date for it's opening.
(04/26 18:05:43) BamaPookie waves
(04/26 18:05:44) uniquelikeyou: Dr. Sutherland: What is the biggest obstacle you have to getting funding right now? I heard Blake wasn't looking for a specific number of explorers, so what is he looking for?
(04/26 18:05:54) Marie Sutherland: next question, please. :D
(04/26 18:05:57) CAGrayWolf: More questions? Again, use the /wave command and NOT the Ctrl+F1 command.
(04/26 18:06:07) Slider waves
(04/26 18:06:10) joao pedro: ok
(04/26 18:06:13) uniquelikeyou: wait, I already waved
(04/26 18:06:13) Arthur Kalnins: Yeah, guys. Don't be shy asking a girl a few questions.
(04/26 18:06:31) Arthur Kalnins: I don't THINK she bites.
(04/26 18:06:35) uniquelikeyou starts to laugh
(04/26 18:06:39) Anansi waves
(04/26 18:06:48) joao pedro: Marie, can you say in which Ages the DRC is currently working on
(04/26 18:06:54) CAGrayWolf: Unique is next
(04/26 18:07:00) uniquelikeyou: okay
(04/26 18:07:04) joao pedro: (sorry, the question mark key in my KI is not working)
(04/26 18:07:06) Marie Sutherland: I'll try to be nice.
(04/26 18:07:46) uniquelikeyou: What's the biggest obstacle to getting funding. Blake said he's not looking for a specific number.
(04/26 18:08:00) uniquelikeyou: (of explorers)
(04/26 18:08:13) Arthur Kalnins: Guys... she hasn't answered joao's yet. Wait...
(04/26 18:08:19) uniquelikeyou: oh, sorry
(04/26 18:08:59) CAGrayWolf: Please everyone use the /shout when asking any questions.
(04/26 18:09:12) Marie Sutherland: sorry, I didn't see Joao's question (use /shout)
(04/26 18:09:29) joao pedro: erm... I can't shout
(04/26 18:09:37) joao pedro: (my bar doesn't work in UU, sorry)
(04/26 18:09:48) Arthur Kalnins: He asked what Ages the DRC is working on
(04/26 18:09:50) uniquelikeyou: joao says he can't shout
(04/26 18:10:17) Legacy: (his keyboard has issues)
(04/26 18:10:19) BamaPookie: Joao asked Marie, can you say in which ages the DRC is currently working on?
(04/26 18:11:07) CAGrayWolf: OK, slight change since i'm not seeing anyone wave on my list. Please PM me and then I will call on you to ask your question.
(04/26 18:11:38) Janine: thanks GW
(04/26 18:12:06) Janine: np didn't wanna be in your way
(04/26 18:12:20) CAGrayWolf: Marie ... are you still with us?
(04/26 18:12:46) Marie Sutherland: There are several at various stages. Eder Delin and Kahlo are the ones being worked on most.
(04/26 18:13:08) uniquelikeyou: Marie, what is the biggest obstacle the DRC is currently facing for getting funding. Blake said he's not looking for a certain number of explorers.
(04/26 18:14:54) CAGrayWolf: I'm getting everyone's PM I just can't answer you all. :)
(04/26 18:14:56) Marie Sutherland: the biggest issue is getting the people who control the funding to appreciate what D'ni is...
(04/26 18:15:41) Marie Sutherland: and what the restoraion means to everyone (and demonstrating that it is worth funding)
(04/26 18:16:00) Marie Sutherland: next question, please.
(04/26 18:16:05) CAGrayWolf: Karlosso?

(04/26 18:18:49) CAGrayWolf: please try to have your question worded and ready.
(04/26 18:21:09) CAGrayWolf: Karlosso would you like me to come back to you?
(04/26 18:21:53) karlosso: Lagging seems to be one of the main problems at the moment as two years ago . Have you fi=oubd out something to solve it?
(04/26 18:23:56) CAGrayWolf: Anansi would you like to go ahead?
(04/26 18:24:11) Anansi: Jevasi BE QUIET geez
(04/26 18:24:33) Anansi: I'd like to know if the DRC will ever open Ahnonay and Er'cana to us explorers ^_ ^
(04/26 18:25:21) Marie Sutherland: as Dr. Watson often says "'Ever' is a loooong time"...
(04/26 18:25:37) CAGrayWolf: Please do not answer othe explorers questions.
(04/26 18:27:05) karlosso: Lagging seems to be one of the mains problems at the moment as it has been two years ago. Did you find out somethig to solve this question? (sorry for my english...lol)
(04/26 18:27:06) Marie Sutherland: If we get funding, I would expect to see them at some pooint.
(04/26 18:27:25) Anthony: did I misread the memo?
(04/26 18:27:32) Anansi: That's great news Marie
(04/26 18:27:42) CAGrayWolf: Artemsia is next
(04/26 18:28:08) CAGrayWolf: Please try to keep all comment s toill after the meeting.
(04/26 18:28:46) CAGrayWolf: Artemsia ... when you're ready.
(04/26 18:29:14) Marie Sutherland: we're working on that, too, Karlosso.
(04/26 18:29:21) Artemesia: sorry lag is relly bad
(04/26 18:29:36) Artemesia: my question was if people at these meetings could make comments or only ask questions
(04/26 18:33:46) CAGrayWolf: We are going to have to wrap this up. Thank you all for attending. We will be having more of these meeting in the future to address more concerns and qestions.
(04/26 18:33:59) Zymmin: Marie, thank you for your time. Have you talked with Dr. Watson or Doug Sharper lately?
(04/26 18:34:08) CAGrayWolf: Let us all give Marie a big raound of applause for her time.

Thanks Kyven! Wow, it's honestly the same questions over and over again! I'd like to know where Watson, Sharper and Phil are, for different reasons, but dangit, the DRC don't know any more than we do! _________________ KI: 34353 |

(04/26 19:02:38) Zander: No, I just wanted to go on the list.
(04/26 19:02:38) Eedrah: yes how long will the meeting be?
(04/26 19:02:40) Eleri: about half an hour
(04/26 19:02:40) Zander: Hi Toria.

(04/26 19:02:42) Eleri: Victor, would you like to introduce yourself?
(04/26 19:02:43) Gondar waves
(04/26 19:02:43) Victor Laxman: i first wanted to thank eleri, vortmax, and the other liasons for organizing and handling these town hall meetings.
(04/26 19:02:46) *Moietay cheers
(04/26 19:02:51) Gondar: Hooray for liasons!
(04/26 19:03:01) subumbra: Victor, how does being involved with something so unique as this effect your personal life? It must be rather difficult to explain what you do to "outsiders".yay
(04/26 19:03:29) Victor Laxman: it's been great to share a bit about us with the everyone...
(04/26 19:03:30) Vortmax2: Please hold your questions until you are called upon. Thank you.
(04/26 19:04:29) Victor Laxman: ... i'm 47?... yeah 47 (48 in June)
(04/26 19:05:20) Victor Laxman: i know i don't look a day over 30, right?
(04/26 19:05:25) Victor Laxman: okay maybe 35
(04/26 19:05:29) *Moietay starts to laugh
(04/26 19:05:30) Ti'chelle laughs
(04/26 19:05:40) Victor Laxman: ready for questions - seems to be a few
(04/26 19:05:48) Eedrah waves
(04/26 19:05:53) Eleri: Zymmin?
(04/26 19:05:59) Zymmin: Victor, sorry to be so bold. If i remember correctly there was a rift between you and Dr. Watson. Have you spoke with him lately? Will he be working in D'ni again anytime soon?
(04/26 19:06:30) Eedrah: /wave
(04/26 19:07:36) Victor Laxman: i have not spoken with him in a long time - but I feel like things were fine between us before...
(04/26 19:08:46) Victor Laxman: he left. Other than he just left us hanging. But we do understand that he was looking...
(04/26 19:08:59) Victor Laxman: for something. Just like we all are.
(04/26 19:09:13) Victor Laxman: next question please...
(04/26 19:09:16) Eleri: subumbra?
(04/26 19:09:18) Eedrah: /wave
(04/26 19:09:23) Zymmin: yes, thank you
(04/26 19:09:32) subumbra: Victor, How does being involved in something so extraordinary effect your personal life? It must be rather strange to have to explain what you do to "outsiders"
(04/26 19:10:41) Victor Laxman: Personal life? What's that? Seriously I have no time to persue leisure activities. It's just me...
(04/26 19:11:03) Eedrah: what do you do in your role in Until uru Victor?
(04/26 19:11:05) Victor Laxman: down here in the Cavern exploring everything it has to offer.
(04/26 19:11:56) Vortmax2: Please hold your questions until you are called upon. /wave to let us know you have a question. Thank you.
(04/26 19:12:07) Victor Laxman: when needed i do tell people exactly what i'm doing - although i think many don't believe me.
(04/26 19:12:13) Victor Laxman: next?
(04/26 19:12:15) Eleri: Gondar?
(04/26 19:12:21) Gondar: Have you or the rest of the team found any other D'ni 'computerlike' technoligy? We have the KI and GZ, and the heek table.. anything you're fixing up right now, or plan to when funding comes?
(04/26 19:13:26) Victor Laxman: there are all kinds of "computer-like" devices, but most of them seem to be for specific tasks...
(04/26 19:14:12) Victor Laxman: We're trying to spend our time on the more general equipment like the KI's, the GZ, and the Nexus related items.
(04/26 19:14:22) Victor Laxman: next?
(04/26 19:14:24) Eleri: Kaelri?
(04/26 19:14:28) Kaelri: What was your first reaction to D'ni? Your first thoughts? Anything that intrigued you in particular?
(04/26 19:15:22) Victor Laxman: The journey is what amazed me because at every turn I found something better...
(04/26 19:15:54) Victor Laxman: until finally arrivingt in the cavern and seeing the lake and city for the first time. Simply awesome.
(04/26 19:16:05) Victor Laxman: next please?
(04/26 19:16:09) Eleri: whilyam?
(04/26 19:17:41) Eleri: we lost whilyam...
(04/26 19:17:45) Victor Laxman: i continue to be amazed at the size of the place, by the way - both in the cavern and the ages beyond
(04/26 19:18:43) Victor Laxman: i don't know a number, and i'm not sure that it's ever calibrated...
(04/26 19:19:27) Victor Laxman: ... i think it's just more and more accurate with every entry. At some point we reach a level of diminishing returns...
(04/26 19:19:34) Victor Laxman: and we call it good!
(04/26 19:19:40) Victor Laxman: next?
(04/26 19:19:43) Eleri: Eedrah?
(04/26 19:21:28) Eleri: did we lose Eedrah, too? JOao, then.
(04/26 19:22:24) Eedrah: what was it like when you started?
(04/26 19:23:12) Victor Laxman: quiet - very quiet! And exciting - it was actually quite special to run into anyone in those days...
(04/26 19:23:29) Victor Laxman: ... not many people around.
(04/26 19:23:54) Victor Laxman: much more interesting now - with more people - seems more appropriate
(04/26 19:23:58) Victor Laxman: next
(04/26 19:24:27) Eleri: yes, joao
(04/26 19:25:49) Victor Laxman: Ae'gura was very difficult - just because of the size and magnitude of the destruction. A lot of ...
(04/26 19:26:10) Victor Laxman: ... manual labor to get things ready for more people.
(04/26 19:26:22) Victor Laxman: next?
(04/26 19:26:24) Eleri: Bobbie?
(04/26 19:27:11) Victor Laxman: i think so - as much as possible. There are a few buildings and districts that are in not...
(04/26 19:27:49) Victor Laxman: too bad of shape. Those would be first. The City Proper is amazing, but has extensive damage...
(04/26 19:28:12) Victor Laxman: and requires quite a bit of time and resources.
(04/26 19:28:38) Victor Laxman: next?
(04/26 19:28:41) Eleri: Kaelri?
(04/26 19:28:46) Kaelri: Is there any one project of yours left in the cavern - or the Ages, of course - that you would most like to see to completion?
(04/26 19:30:14) Victor Laxman: It's hard for me to pick one. But I would love to make the City Proper grand once again. It just seems like...
(04/26 19:30:49) Victor Laxman: ... such a monumental task. One the age side, I would love to explore more of Gira myself...
(04/26 19:31:21) Victor Laxman: ... I'm afraid I haven't gotten much beyond the limits, but it looks amazing.
(04/26 19:31:27) Victor Laxman: next?
(04/26 19:31:51) Eleri: Victor, to wrap up, are there any ages you've read about, or unexplored books you've found, that you're really curious about?
(04/26 19:33:01) Victor Laxman: Rebek is both beautiful and exciting - would be fun to get that one going - partially because...
(04/26 19:33:33) Victor Laxman: I would like to know the history behind what went on there. Bound to be an interesting story.
(04/26 19:33:41) Victor Laxman: next?
(04/26 19:34:00) Eleri: So much of D'ni is. Any more questions for Victor?
(04/26 19:34:08) Thend: What do you believe is the ultimate purpose of calibrating Great Zero, and what are it's functions, based on your observations?
(04/26 19:34:50) Victor Laxman: It seems to be simply a grand marker for the D'ni. Without a frame of reference to base things on...
(04/26 19:35:43) Victor Laxman: ... (like stars, sun, magnetic directions) they simply created one.
(04/26 19:35:57) Victor Laxman: when they arrived.
(04/26 19:36:14) Veralun waves
(04/26 19:36:24) Victor Laxman: any more questions - these have been great questions.
(04/26 19:36:33) Eleri: go for it :)
(04/26 19:37:40) Victor Laxman: I do have one - hidden under my suave black outfit. :)
(04/26 19:38:34) Victor Laxman: Thanks you all for the wonderful support - you've all been very kind.
(04/26 19:38:44) Eleri: Thanks so much Victor, for taking another chunk out of your day to answer questions
(04/26 19:39:04) Sudre claps his hands
(04/26 19:39:27) Victor Laxman: my pleasure - let's do it again soon - when we have more optimistic news :)
(04/26 19:39:39) Victor Laxman: thank you all again
