I voted for the representative, but I haven't really followed much since then. I know there are chat logs, but ... I wonder if someone could summaries the current state of the cavern for me.

*takes a deep breath*
Well...
The DRC has limited funding but has gotten back to work. Engberg is working on Kahlo with (I think) Laxman and Kodama, and Sutherland is working on a small garden Age called Eder Delin. Exactly what "working on" entails is anybody's guess, although I suspect it involves pina coladas and poker games.
Watson is still missing, presumably getting Yeesha-fied. The DRC has removed reference to him from the FAQ, but his bio is still up.
Phil is still missing, and the DRC is still saying he's dead (except Kodama, who "jokingly" says Phil's somewhere smoking drugs, so unless that's Kodama's idea of an afterlife, it suggests to me Kodama at least suspects he might have survived.)
Sharper is still missing, and I assume wherever he is, he's mourning the retirement of Doug Flutie. (OK, now I'm editorializing a bit... )
Kadish is, as far as we know, still undead. So everything's pretty normal there. We haven't heard any more from him.
The DRC is now finally acknowledging the existence of a D'ni guy on Noloben; Esher of Ducknee, we assume.
Willow "Wheely" Engberg is Michael Engberg's (teenage, I think?) daughter, but she hasn't been around lately. She's for the most part just a normal explorer.
Nick White's still kicking around, but I don't really know what's up with him. He's not around that often.
Yeesha also hasn't been around; she's probably off being The Grower and stuff. She spent 2005 looking for someone to restore the Least.
Did I miss anything? I think I hit the main points.
EDIT: Oh, yeah, one other pretty major thing. The DRC members all took Yeesha's journey and (except Watson) have returned and are using Relto books. They're also having town hall meetings. Is this the advent of a new, user-friendly DRC? At the moment the answer seems to be a resounding "maybe." We shall see.

Well done, thank you!
Interesting developments! Maybe I should try to get in touch with Nick. Sharper was going to introduce me to him at one point but that never happened...

No problem.

Not a bad plan, although the trick is going to be actually finding Nick, who is rather elusive. If I were you, I'd send a KI-mail rather than waiting for him, or you may be waiting awhile.

You may also want to talk to Cycreim about Nick, he's been trying to build up a report, repour...that thing you build up and which has an odd spelling... with Nick. Don't know how that went but it might be worth asking Cyc.
Oh and this is old news (olds?) but the dock stone in the Ae'Gura harbour is sporadically available these days and the museum door has been "fixed". |

The only way I've managed to actually get in touch with the dude is to ask the DRC to tell him I've been looking for him. I dunno, maybe you'll have better luck than I will. _________________ KI: 34353 |

Wow... that was great.
I feel like I'm about to start the 2nd book of a series, and just read the back cover explaining where Book 1 left off.
Except in my little world, the author of my books knows how to spell "Rapport".
LOL I'm just teasing Danny!
Thanks for the summary, AnnaCat! _________________ KI 182798

I blame the French language.... (my inability to spell the word of course has nothing to do with me being too lazy to reach over the other side of my desk and pick up a dictionary... oh no )

I didn't actually mean to quote Zim, but yes, I like it, and it seems I did so unintentionally.
